Microsoft Surface Pro, RT And Windows 8 in PixelSense

Microsoft has made consumer hardware before, but the surface Pro and RT represent their most ambitious attempts yet. Unfortunately for Microsoft, the surface and RT Pro, powered by the new Windows 8 operating system, not set the world on fire yet, and that is causing some to make some comparisons very negative.

Somehow, it seems unfair. The Pro surface is still very new, having only launched last month. But Windows 8 and Surface RT both reach retail stores in time for the holidays 2012. They do not do so well, then, and now everyone from analysts to Microsoft partners are hitting entire effort of Redmond.

Samsung has just criticized Windows 8 and the surface several times, saying that the new OS is not better than Windows Vista. Acer president said that Windows 8 is not successful. And now, an analyst at MKM Israel Hernandez is out pushing the idea that the surface and Windows 8 are as bad as the Microsoft Zune Media Player, who was killed by Redmond five years after a failed attempt to compete with Apple's iPod.

RT surface is "on track to join Zune and Kin rack in large discount consumer electronics in the sky," said Hernandez, according to the Motley Fool. The Surface Pro has a better chance, but considering the dismal sales Surface RT, Hernandez seems he did not have much hope for him.

Microsoft Surface Tablet

Meanwhile, Hernandez said that Windows 8 is "dangerously close to being permanently rejected by consumers," and Microsoft partners are "currently in open revolt." Apparently, Windows 8 is such a bomb that OEMs are choosing to align itself with the Google Chrome OS.

These claims are all extremely hard, and while both the surface and Windows 8 have their share of problems, it is difficult to see how Hernandez claims closer to the truth. Microsoft certainly has a lot of work to do to convince consumers to buy Windows 8 devices, but it is unlikely that OEMs will stay in "revolt", while Surface Pro and RT only outsell all Chromebooks three times over.Either way, it should be an interesting year as Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 retools going forward.

MicroSoft PixelSense on Surface Enterprise

Microsoft is now allowing companies to bulk buy their tablets - both surface and RT Pro.Enterprise customers can now place orders for the entire company launches, despite the fact that the version of Pro 128GB surface remains missing.

While buying scheme - first seen by ZDNet - already live, Microsoft admitted customers may experience delays: "The delivery times and order requirements may vary depending on stock."The company will also give preference to existing enterprise customers with new business partners who have to wait longer.

"If you do not have a volume licensing agreement with Microsoft, there may be additional processing time to set up the account and terms of credit," Microsoft said, adding all necessary commercial orders a purchase order valid company. The site is available for commercial orders UK customers, but as the Pro version has yet to be released here only tablets surface RT and accessories are available at present.

Well as tablets and accessories, Microsoft also detailed three-year service extension plans Hardware cost of $ 200 per device for the Pro and $ 150 Surface to Surface RT.The extended warranty is restricted to customers in the U.S. and Canada, and includes a replacement machine to reduce downtime.

"The plan includes the transportation of a replacement unit out before return the product to minimize downtime," Microsoft said. "The Extended Service Plan hardware can be purchased up to 45 days after purchasing the device."

When Microsoft dropped the bombshell that it was launching its own tablet, the company not only risked alienating its PC partners, but detonated his credibility is not showing them how to do it properly.

Microsoft Surface RT

There is no doubt that Microsoft Surface RT is a serious tablet, but it's good enough to lure people away from their iPads, their Android tablets, or even their laptops? Or is it a mere stopgap until the full-fledged versions of Windows 8 tablet Surface arrive to complement this version based on ARM.

Microsoft made it clear from the beginning that the surface is intended to serve as an example for computer makers, and it is clear that this is not a piece of hardware cliché. Two things stand out make the surface uniform slabs of glass that we have witnessed over the last two years: the kickstand and detachable keyboards

The mechanics are wonderfully simple kickstand. The lower half of the back of the tablet casing moves out to create a backing, turning the device into a pseudo portable when used with one of the keypads. When you finish with the support, he turns back into place, perfectly aligned with the back of the tablet, and satisfactory to the beat of a car door expensive.

However, support is set at a fixed position, leaving no means of adjusting the angle of the screen as you would on a conventional laptop. This left the members of the highest PC Pro team bent awkwardly on the surface that tried to work with the device on a table, although our colleagues had more modest claim.
Microsoft Surface RT

This angle would be slightly too vertical a much bigger problem if the screen was not as bright 10.6in. The viewing angles are excellent - maybe a little too good to eavesdroppers on a train seat beside.A maximum screen brightness is comparable to 400cd/m2 iPad, and while the surface has a contrast ratio of 3,333:1 striking measured is due to the presence of dynamic contrast.

Flick the pages between dark and bright, and can detect the backlight raising and lowering brightness to compensate. Still, guarantees that the IPS panel palette of bright colors that make up the Windows 8 home screen zing off the screen, and photos and video provide sumptuous levels of saturation.

The 1366 x 768 resolution is not going to cause Apple's engineering department ashamed back to the drawing board, but when you are sitting a foot or so away from the screen surface that does not feel like she has no detail or sharpness.

The tablet feels delicious on hand, too. There are a lot of marketing waffle around the material that forms VaporMg called the box, but he feels strong and soft to the touch. The coal project is commendable discreet black, with just a subtle Windows logo adorning the back.

Microsoft pixelsense a new era in Tab Technology

microsoft surface optical glass table table touch interface

By now, unless you've been raised up under a rock, you know that Microsoft will be launching its Windows 8 tablets around the holidays this year. However, one part of this is a product that seems to have flown under the shaven optical glass display. Probably because when you hear the words "optical glass," You think this is a creative, simply called "the clear" or something equally obvious.

However, I've been following since the original Surface product launch and have already seen this tech in action. Sometimes, too, he tried to buy, which is able to give to his native land to be able to play as in the New $ 7,000.

What makes the "optical glass" different? You want what he can. As yet there is no other information about the tablet. This really is the offering of a revolutionary, much more advanced than anything Apple, or other person currently has access to.

I think that this is one of the character of the writer of Microsoft Surface is a tablet, underplayed the way, which is a being, and was able to turn it and greater than, the object of the related products THEWED all of us into the next robbery.

The birth of an optical glass

With the surface of the table (and now renamed PixelSense, along with appropriate technology) was first created, Microsoft's goal is to design in a tablet, which might interact with the people in unique ways. In many ways it was a super tablet, with emphasis on the "table" part of the name of the table. Initial hardware consisted of an opaque glass screen suspended above the camera and projector.

microsoft pixelsense touch surface table

The projector would project the computer image on the screen at the back, and the camera would track what the user did with vastly wider than any resistance or WIDE touch interface could work. In effect, you could see the hand cups your members coaster game, or whatever you put on the screen in one credit card again for a title they could drive.

Although clearly anticipated by bringing this product into the home of Microsoft (see video) the generation of the first turned out to be way too complex. Hardware has had good things tend to escape the alignment, that is, in all places of mourning, the work would be able to move your finger is still some distance away in the objects manager.

So Microsoft is moving to generation two, which meant making a solid state camera and capability building in the glass. What had happened to it is optical glass, and the production of which is the only thing in broad The display can actually "see" without the use of the camera because it is in the effect, is the camera.

For example, if you had a series of paint brushes that were unique, each could represent a totally different texture, by the stroke of a brush, or even a sound (you may be able to express music). Here is a music creation app, for instance, that was two years ago. It can discriminate between the hands of another. Even here it is said that there is room in the camera view.

Games are particularly interesting, because you can have multiple actors, all playing at the same time and from different angles the screen. Imagine your kids with one of these tablets, playing versions of virtual games, typically after one or two chantries to break (thank God for Gorilla Glass). Ces from the This demo gives you a sense of where the gaming two years ago, back then it was in this technology.

In fact, all the demo I've been able to find, they are two years old and in the next-gen tech. Surface will use third gen technology.
Another leap forward

If you clicked in any of the links above you saw one generation, which was a bit impractical but in truth the cool, and the generation of two, which was better but way too expensive and there was want of speed and resolution. This new generation will have a three tables, and remember: In the third generation Microsoft is the one that is typically great. What generation is not valid unless it is.

In the tables of the sacrament of seasoning, but not all. It's the greatest part of that, folks, it does not get enough right now. Only this way, however, mentioned Microsoft innovate, however, from the fact that if you want to innovate, and perhaps out of an apple.
